Royal RX type KNIGHTRIDE Series Ejector Pins are precision crafted from the finest grade of H-13 thermal shock resistant hot-work die steel. The heads are hot forged and stress relieved for uniform grain flow and high tensile strength. The core is through hardened to 41-45 RC and the surface has an ion nitride coating with a hardness of 65-74 Rc. The nitride coating is applied in a proprietary process, which creates a diffusion layer between the hardened casing and the softer core. The process produces an ideal combination of toughness and long life. It also prevents surface nicking and flaking which may be a problem with other nitride pins. The diameters are precision ground to a tight tolerance (.0003") and a high surface finish (5-10 Ra) which reduces friction and increases pin service life.

The available fractional inch point diameters are 1/32, 3/64, 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, and 7/64; in on-size tolerance (-.0005/-.0008) and oversize tolerance (+.005).
