 W-1 Flat Stock is not ground. It is produced by cold drawing. But it has good dimensional accuracy and it has the lowest cost of all the precision flat stocks. It is sometimes referred to as key stock, shim stock, or gage stock. W-1 comes annealed and ready for layout and machining.
