Quill Punches (Bevel Headed Punches) are long, skinny punches for stamping dies, gauges, or automation machinery. They are made of hardened tool steel. There are two general classes of Quill Punches. The first is an older, lower-cost style made of O-1 tool steel. The other, newer style is made with better steel and better heat treatment. These can be referred to as Perforator Punches / Core Pin Blanks.
